About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join our Additional Learning Support Team. As a key member of our Student Support team, you will provide in and out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1-2-1 support to a student with learning difficulties/disabilities
  • Assist in the planning, preparation & reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff
  • Provide feedback and carry out reviews to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes
  • Deal with challenging behaviour when it arises and help students develop their own coping strategies
Requirements
  • Experience supporting students in an educational setting and knowledge of SEND, ALS and EHCPs
  • Maths and English L2/C grade or working towards
  • Willingness to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification
