Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Ultrasound Practitioner to become a vital member of our dedicated team, engaging in various ultrasound practices within our state-of-the-art imaging facilities.

Our services cater to a diverse group of patients, providing ultrasound examinations in areas such as obstetrics, abdominal, gynecological, small parts, musculoskeletal, and vascular assessments across multiple healthcare locations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Ultrasound Practitioner, you will independently perform ultrasound scans and interpret the results of all examinations conducted. Assistance from our Radiology team will be available for more intricate cases as needed.

Candidates must hold a recognized ultrasound qualification (such as a Diploma or Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound) and be registered with the appropriate regulatory body. A valid UK driving license and a minimum of one year of practical ultrasound experience in a recognized NHS setting are essential.

The successful applicant will be proficient in conducting scans for abdominal, gynecological, obstetric, small parts, and DVT assessments. Additional qualifications in musculoskeletal or vascular ultrasound would be advantageous.

We are open to flexible working arrangements, including ad hoc schedules and job sharing.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and opportunities for role enhancement are actively promoted.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • oDCR(R) or BSc
  • oPost Graduate Ultrasound Qualification in Obstetrics, Abdominal, Gynecology, and Vascular
  • oEvidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • oHCPC Registration

Desirable

  • oQualification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

  • One year of previous NHS experience/employment
