About the Role:

Cedar is seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategy, as well as delivering key projects in a hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategy to drive business growth and profitability
  • Deliver key projects in a hands-on role, including IT Vendor Management capability and procurement maturity
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with the Procurement team and drive procurement's reputation forward
  • Drive commercial value out of contracts in life and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and category management

Requirements:

  • Strong examples of driving savings and added value within the IT category area
  • Experience within IT Vendor Management and driving commercial value out of contracts in life
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Comfortable presenting and interacting with senior leadership to C-Suite level
  • MCIPS/CIPS/Degree would be useful but not essential
