Job Title: Technical Processing Engineer

As a Technical Processing Engineer at Kingspan Insulation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous production of high-quality insulation boards. You will be responsible for providing technical support to the production team, optimising chemical and process parameters to meet specification standards, and participating in corrective actions to address product failures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement process optimisation strategies to improve product quality and reduce re-testing.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Projects team to develop bespoke customer requirements and ensure compliance with ISO and EN product standards.
  • Conduct site visits and customer interactions to resolve product failures and provide technical support.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of continuous production systems and provide technical advice to production teams.
  • Assist with trials for new product development and existing improvements, adhering to CMEx methodology and change management processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data is provided for continuous improvement through management information technology systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers, technical establishments, certification bodies, and customers to further the company's interests.
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical, or Processing Engineering.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Application of problem-solving tools.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and ability to analyse data for trends.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Experience of working with various IT programs, including MS Word and Excel.
