Morpeth, United Kingdom Premier Teachers Full time

Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistants for immediate supply roles within a nurturing educational environment.

Role Responsibilities: As a SEN Support Assistant, you will work with students who have a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language difficulties, Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).

This institution boasts exceptional facilities, including a Creative Arts Hub, sensory rooms, a forest school, a swimming pool, a Therapy Hut, and a Media suite, providing a rich learning experience.

Qualifications: While experience in supporting children with special needs is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. A genuine willingness to learn and engage with SEN students is the most valuable trait we seek.

If you have prior experience as a SEN Support Assistant or as a support worker in a residential care setting, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

While holding a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Flexibility: Positions may vary from short-term to long-term assignments, and we require staff who are adaptable and eager to learn from seasoned professionals within the school.

Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Provide two professional references.
  • Possess a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.

About Us: Premier Teachers is a teacher-run agency dedicated to providing supply and permanent placement services to educational institutions in the North East and Teesside regions. We pride ourselves on being supportive and offer training opportunities either on-site or in-house to facilitate your career advancement.

We ensure all staff comply with safeguarding procedures before placement in schools. Our commitment to our staff includes prompt weekly payments and statutory sick pay when applicable.
