About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead our dynamic Projects delivery team across our customer sites.

Reporting to our Head of Projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Project and Assistant Project Managers, delivering multiple projects for our customers. As a Senior Project Director at Mitie, you will be expected to lead your team and projects with ownership, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and adherence to financial and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, managing all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and their expectations met and exceeded.
  • Motivate project teams, fostering clear communication, effective collaboration, and high performance.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of quality in project delivery, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation, ensuring that projects are financially viable and cost-effective.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), and promote a culture of safety and well-being on all projects.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and accountability, and ensure meticulous project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Professional certification such as APM, RICS, CIOB, or a similar qualification.
  • Proven experience in a multi-project environment, managing multiple clients and delivering high-quality projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive teams towards excellence.
  • Expertise in project administration, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly CDM regulations, with a proven track record of promoting and ensuring workplace safety.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
