At St Basils, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Homeless Prevention Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people at risk of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality information, advice, and signposting to young people in need.
- Process and triage referrals from various sources, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify housing and support needs, and develop personalized plans to prevent homelessness.
- Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and effective advocacy.
- Maintain accurate and professional case records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement interventions to address the root causes of homelessness, promoting positive outcomes for young people and their families.
- Provide mediation and advocacy services to support young people in resolving conflicts and accessing necessary resources.
- GCSE English and Maths (C grade or above) or equivalent.
- Essential experience working with young people in a similar setting, delivering frontline triage or assessment services.
- Knowledge of housing rights, welfare reform, and relevant legislation, including the Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act.
