Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely 2 form entry Primary School in the North Bristol area.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and will be able to provide high-quality support to pupils in a classroom setting.

The school strives to provide an inclusive learning environment that promotes high ambition and self-belief in all children. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other support staff to deliver intervention workshops and provide individualized support to pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver intervention workshops with small groups of children
  • Support children with SEN needs following their EHCPs
  • Communicate clearly with the Class Teacher about pupil needs
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other support staff
  • Be flexible and encouraging when working with pupils
  • Be adaptable with the child's learning environment
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development
  • Work closely with the SENDCo to gain the best knowledge of how to support the pupil
