Concentrating on the lifestyle elements of royal news, your coverage will include fashion, jewelry, properties, and current events, with an emphasis on identifying budget-friendly alternatives for our audience to emulate the royal style.
We are open to flexible working arrangements and will strive to accommodate requests whenever feasible.
This position is primarily home-based with connections to our London Hub, and we welcome candidates located in and around London.
Role Responsibilities
What will your responsibilities include?
You will craft and develop stories about the Royal Family, complemented by striking images and engaging videos that will captivate royal enthusiasts. You will ensure a swift turnaround on significant news stories from the UK and beyond while delivering exclusive content that distinguishes us from competitors. All content must be thoroughly researched and published in line with the Editor's Code of practice. You will be adept at utilizing various digital formats and quickly identify breaking news through social media channels.
Candidate Profile
Who are we looking for?
We seek an accomplished journalist with an NCTJ or equivalent qualification and knowledge of media law. You should have a proven history of producing a diverse array of engaging royal news stories for a national or major regional publication, with an understanding of what resonates with a digital audience.
Your editing, writing, and proofreading skills should be exceptional, and you should thrive under pressure and tight deadlines. You should be well-versed in social media and current SEO practices, and familiarity with newsroom analytics and content management systems is preferred. We value flexibility, curiosity, and a keen sense of what constitutes a compelling story.
