We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team at Stott and May. As a Data Centre Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers on a 24/7 shift pattern to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and risk management of critical data center systems.


The Role:

As a Data Centre Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day technical maintenance activities, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards. You will also be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the engineering shift team to deliver high-quality service and ensure safety compliance.
  • Operating and maintaining M&E systems, including HV Electrical systems, with a focus on efficiency and risk management.
  • Acting as the Authorized Person for 11kV Electrical Systems, managing Permits to Work (PTW).
  • Overseeing subcontractor work, ensuring it aligns with client requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting of completed tasks and maintaining stock levels of critical spares.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, safety awareness, and operational excellence.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in data center or critical environment operations.
  • HV Authorized Person qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a team effectively.
  • Proactive approach with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
