Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be engaged in various commercial activities aimed at managing and minimizing project costs and risks, enhancing value for money, and ensuring compliance with legal standards and quality as per the agreed contract terms.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Structuring projects into manageable work packages for procurement.
  • Evaluating subcontractor bids and allocating work packages.
  • Negotiating with the supply chain to secure optimal value.
  • Overseeing payment applications from subcontractors.
  • Preparing payment applications for clients.
  • Tracking and comparing actual spending against the budget through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports (CVR).
  • Final account preparation.
  • Managing team workloads effectively.
  • Compiling and verifying commercial data from the team.

Candidate Profile:

This Senior Cost Manager position is ideal for you if you possess:

  • A relevant academic qualification – Degree / HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in teams delivering high-value commercial construction projects.
  • Experience with Tier 1 Main Contracting.
  • A strong understanding of NEC / JCT Contract Conditions.
