Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Assist with patient care activities, including washing, dressing, and taking physiological observations
  • Support patients with their daily needs, including serving meals and assisting with feeding
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans

Person Specification
  • Minimum level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Basic education GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English and Maths (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (desirable)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families
  • Self-motivation and flexibility
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use keyboard or willingness to develop
