About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at AKT II in Cambridge. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of structural design concepts and solutions for complex projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet client requirements and project goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of junior engineers and designers to ensure high-quality design deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in design.
  • Participate in business development activities to identify new opportunities and grow the company's presence in the market.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer (IStructE or ICE) with a strong background in structural engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior design role, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions.
  • Proficiency in design software, including Autodesk Revit and Bentley Systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
