Job Overview
As a Marketing Specialist within our publishing division, you will play a crucial role in enhancing revenue streams among our university and library clientele. You will collaborate closely with our sales and marketing departments to strategize, develop, and implement communication initiatives that boost the visibility, engagement, and sales of our publishing offerings, publications, and services targeted at research and academic communities. This position calls for a creative and analytical professional who can effectively convey the value of our products to librarians, researchers, and institutional decision-makers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Campaign Development: Design, implement, and assess targeted marketing initiatives, including email outreach, webinars, advertising, and events, aimed at driving revenue growth.
- Performance Analysis: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using analytical tools, delivering regular reports and actionable insights to enhance performance and boost sales.
- Marketing Material Creation: Collaborate with the broader marketing, sales, product, and design teams to produce engaging marketing collateral across various platforms, including printed materials, presentation decks, email campaigns, social media, and advertisements.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with the Marketing Engagement Executive to outline processes and trigger points for audience segments, facilitating email automation for lead generation and engagement campaigns.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the publishing marketing and sales teams to devise and execute strategies that align with sales goals, including lead generation, e-commerce, customer acquisition, and retention efforts.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong grasp of marketing practices and communication channels, preferably within the publishing or academic sectors.
- Excellent copywriting capabilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Commercially driven, analytical, and proactive.
- Proven ability to manage timelines effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Experience with email marketing tools and website content management systems is advantageous.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- A degree in marketing, publishing, or a CIM qualification is preferred.
