Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Manager to join our UK Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in producing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and VAT returns. They will also have excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to drive results and lead a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production and Filing of Statutory Accounts: The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and filing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and VAT returns for our UK and Ireland operations.
  • Key Business Contact: They will be the key point of contact between our UK Finance team and external auditors, tax advisors, HMRC, and other external parties involved in company compliance filings.
  • Subject Matter Expert: They will be a subject matter expert and superuser for Making Tax Digital (MTD) software and MTD filings.
  • US Finance Support: They will work closely with our US Finance team to provide support on USGAAP, US taxation, and UKGAAP, VAT, and Corporation Tax.
  • Leadership: They will manage one direct report and be responsible for the effective running of the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets teams.
  • Statutory Accounts & Taxation: They will be responsible for maintaining statutory and taxation entries, preparing and submitting VAT returns, and ensuring compliance with all legislation and accounting standards necessary in each country in which we operate.
  • Management Accounts & Balance Sheets: They will manage monthly postings related to Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll, investigate queries, and provide commentaries for monthly results packs.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or Equivalent: The successful candidate will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Previous Experience: They will have previous experience in producing statutory accounts under FRS102, UK VAT returns, and filing submissions on HMRC and Companies House online portals.
  • USGAAP and UKGAAP Knowledge: They will have knowledge of USGAAP and UKGAAP.
  • Management Experience: They will have experience in a management role, with a proven track record of delivering results to deadlines in a multi-national company.
  • Retail Experience: Retail experience is desired but not essential.
  • Multi-Site Experience: Multi-site experience is essential.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: They will have exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to drive results and lead a team.
  • Communication Skills: They will have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to drive people performance remotely and personally.
  • Technical Skills: They will have advanced Excel knowledge and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
