About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drainage Engineer to join our Developer Services team in Wiltshire and South Gloucester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing new development proposals and ensuring they do not impact the efficient operation of the public water supply and sewerage network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Form part of a small Engineering team and Site Inspectors, covering the Wiltshire, South Gloucester, and Bristol area
  • Work to tight timescales and budgetary limits while maintaining effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Assist the Development Engineer in leading team activities
  • Be motivated, customer-focused, and efficient in the face of challenges
  • Implement business initiatives and improve processes across the department
Requirements
  • A formal civil engineering qualification or construction/engineering experience
  • Technical experience with knowledge of water and wastewater services, including sustainable drainage systems
  • A sound understanding of the industry's regulatory environment, Adoption Code, and Sewerage Sector Guidance
  • A positive attitude, performance management, and personal resilience, with excellent organisation and decision-making skills
