Drainage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drainage Engineer to join our Developer Services team at Wessex Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing new development proposals and ensuring they do not impact the efficient operation of our public water supply and sewerage network.
Key Responsibilities:- Form part of a small Engineering team and Site Inspectors, covering the Wiltshire, South Gloucester, and Bristol area
- Work to tight timescales and budgetary limits while maintaining effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Assist the Development Engineer in leading team activities
- Be motivated, customer-focused, and efficient in the face of challenges
- Contribute to implementing business initiatives and improving processes across the department
- A formal civil engineering qualification or construction/engineering experience
- Technical experience with knowledge of water and wastewater services, including sustainable drainage systems
- A sound understanding of the industry's regulatory environment, Adoption Code, and Sewerage Sector Guidance
- A positive attitude, performance management skills, and personal resilience, with excellent organisation and decision-making skills
