Job Description

Breedon Group plc is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our cement manufacturing facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety
    • Take ownership of your safety and the safety of others
    • Develop and maintain risk assessments and method statements
    • Conduct dynamic STOP point of work assessments
    • Raise safety observations and take action to resolve
    • Participate in toolbox talks
  • Duties
    • Perform multi-skilled electrical engineering maintenance
    • Preserve and maintain the electrical integrity of our site-wide network
    • Conduct planned maintenance inspections and corrective works on fixed and rotating assets
    • Electrical inspection and testing, fault finding, and repairing defects
    • Predictive and preventative maintenance of large motors and drive systems
    • Working knowledge of medium voltage networks, including switching methods and maintenance operations
    • A sound understanding of electrical maintenance methods and techniques
    Requirements
    • Qualifications
      • Health and Safety qualifications, including IOSH Working Safely and ISO Standards
      • Electrical engineering qualifications, including City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 & 2 or 2230 Level 3 NVQ 2356 / 2357
      • 18th Edition Wiring Regulation BS7671 Certificate
    • Experience
      • Proven experience in electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial environment
      • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team
      • Good working knowledge of the cement manufacturing process
    • Skills and Knowledge
      • Low and medium voltage electrical isolation
      • Experience with variable speed drives and PLCs
      • Working knowledge of process gas analysis systems and techniques
      • Basic knowledge of IT systems, including SAP, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
