Job Title: Night Support Worker

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Various locations in Northern Ireland

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Night Support Worker to join our team at Minerva. As a Night Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing holistic support to young people in supported housing, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a positive relationship with young people and support them to create a safe home environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to young people, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Work alongside the Housing Worker to provide practical and hands-on support regarding budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and running a home.
  • Support the Housing Worker to ensure accommodation is well-maintained and safe for young people to live in.
  • Support the move-in and move-on process.
  • Provide young people with support to transition into independent living, helping them to maintain their tenancy and develop the confidence and skills required to live independently.
  • Ensure a coordinated approach is adapted to provide young people with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge and work as part of a team to carry out day-to-day tasks.
  • Ensure that young people's ideas, thoughts, and feedback are recorded, responded to, and actioned.
  • Support and engage young people to be good neighbors and assist in the resolution of neighborhood disputes.

Requirements:

  • 1 year's experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support or similar environment.
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle.
  • Understanding and knowledge of homelessness, mental health, and substance use.
