About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Lead to join our team at CBSbutler. As a Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for supporting our client's Project Director with the front-end development process, including knowledge of FEL gates. You will also be responsible for interrogating and analyzing the EPCM contractors' cost, commercial, and contract submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting client's Project Director with front-end development process
  • Interrogating and analyzing EPCM contractors' cost, commercial, and contract submissions
  • Challenging client and contractor cost, including demonstrating basis for challenge
  • Reviewing cost elements, including people costs, EPCM contractor costs, major equipment cost, bulk materials, and subcontractor costs
  • Providing cost input to client project team and business support functions
  • Leading cost reviews and meetings with contractors on behalf of clients

Requirements:

  • ~ 5 years in a senior commercial role on major capital projects (several hundred million to over billion pounds)
  • ~ Must have experience of major EPC or EPCM contracts either client or contractor
  • ~ Ideally have working knowledge of the ICHEME form of contract
  • ~ Strong commercial background, ideally client-side
