CBSbutler is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Initiatives Lead to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for supporting our client's Project Director with the front-end development process, including knowledge of FEL gates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interrogate and analyze EPCM contractors' cost, commercial, and contract submissions
  • Challenge client and contractor costs, including demonstrating the basis for challenge
  • Review cost elements, including people costs, EPCM contractor costs, major equipment costs, bulk materials, and subcontractor costs
  • Provide cost input to change management and review cost and commercial submissions from contractors
  • Lead cost reviews and meetings with contractors on behalf of clients
  • Provide cost input to client project teams and business support functions, including finance

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior commercial role on major capital projects (several hundred million to over billion pounds)
  • Experience of major EPC or EPCM contracts, either client or contractor side
  • Ideal working knowledge of the IChemE form of contract
  • Strong commercial background, ideally client-side
