Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Import Operator/Freight Forwarder to join our client's team in Manchester. As an Import Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth importing of goods from factories in India and China to the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the importation of goods from overseas suppliers
  • Manage customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics providers
  • Monitor and optimize supply chain operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in imports and freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

What We Offer

Our client offers a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum, a hybrid work model (2 days a week), and easily accessible offices in Manchester with parking available.
