We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Decarbonization Expert to join our team at the Mission Possible Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our Industrial Transition Accelerator (ITA) work program.
Key Responsibilities- Support the strategic development and delivery of projects and workstreams related to long-distance transportation sectors.
- Act as the go-to subject matter expert for the ITA, providing technical guidance and support to stakeholders.
- Lead projects and discrete deliverables related to transportation sectors, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Build and maintain relationships with public and private sector stakeholders in the relevant industries, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with other ITA project leads to respond to fast-moving priorities and drive project success.
- Mid-career professional with extensive experience in a high-caliber environment, such as a top-tier strategy consulting firm or a leading corporation.
- Demonstrated expertise within the long-distance transportation sectors, including a solid working knowledge of decarbonization technologies and solutions.
- Experience building and working with analytical tools, particularly relating to industrial and heavy transportation decarbonization, and cross-cutting energy solutions.
- Proactive and self-starter, with a strong ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, high-quality communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling narratives based on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Collaborative team player, with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Ability to develop and nurture trusting relationships and partnerships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and organizational horizons.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with excellent digital skills.
- Flexibility in approach and comfort working in an entrepreneurial/start-up environment.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, climate-related discipline, or STEM subject.
- Stakeholder engagement experience, bringing together diverse stakeholders from private sector, policy, and finance to work on energy and industry decarbonization solutions.
- Experience working in/with membership organizations, and the corporate, NGO, and policy worlds.
