Fire Protection Engineer

An outstanding opportunity has emerged for a skilled Fire & Security Technician to become part of a leading specialist in the Fire & Security sector.
This position involves collaborating with a team at various commercial locations, focusing on the servicing and maintenance of diverse fire and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform service and repair on multiple system types including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and DDA systems, adhering to current standards and Codes of Practice.
Work within project timelines, promptly identifying and communicating any potential risks to project delivery schedules.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with network/IP-based products.
While FIA qualifications are advantageous, a comprehensive understanding of BS5839 is essential.
Ensure timely completion of timesheets and all relevant documentation.
Participate in any necessary training as required.
Adhere to all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Experience Required:
A proven track record in servicing Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry, and DDA systems.
Experience with network/IP-based products is a plus.
FIA qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory; however, a thorough understanding of BS5839 is crucial.
Knowledge of integrating detection systems with other disciplines would be a significant advantage.
Strong communication skills are necessary, as the role involves significant customer interaction.
The ability to work independently and effectively manage your time is essential.
A solid understanding of industry standards and the systems we install is required.
A good grasp of Health and Safety practices is vital.
A valid driving license and willingness to travel are necessary, with occasional overnight stays required, though this will be minimized.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary - up to £40,000 (depending on experience).
Paid Travel Time (30 minutes each way).
