About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Specialist to join our team at a brand new mental health hospital in the Essex area. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and admissions of new patients to the service
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans
  • Work closely with our GP's and Physical Health Nurse to improve the physical wellbeing of patients
  • Complete discharge letters, reports, and SOAD forms
  • Support the implementation of the Care Programme Approach and Care and treatment plans for service users
  • Liaise with external professionals and work collaboratively with commissioners and external care teams to ensure seamless transitions to the community
  • Contribute to service development through participation in Clinical Governance activities, quality initiatives, audits, research, and teaching
Requirements
  • Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Recent appraisal/RITA
  • At least 3 years' experience in Psychiatry
  • Experience working as a doctor within a similar environment
