We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a pivotal role within our organization. We are seeking a Technical Security Architect who will play a crucial role in collaborating with our IT operations, project management, and architectural teams to provide expert advice and design security frameworks for various initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading technical security engagements with programs, architects, and IT operations, serving as the subject matter expert for designated projects and initiatives.
- Collaborating with solution architects and project teams to create guidance and designs (both high-level and detailed) aligned with overarching solution architectures.
- Proposing appropriate security measures that align with best practices, information security standards, and business objectives, particularly in a dynamic retail context.
- Overseeing the implementation of security controls across projects, contributing to the overall technology and information security vision while embracing modern operational methodologies.
- Partnering with other IT and Information Security leaders to promote optimal solutions for the Currys business, facilitating the integration of on-premise systems with cloud environments.
- Assisting in the financial assessment of new security components.
- Making informed decisions regarding the technologies and tools necessary, while adhering to established design principles and patterns.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in reviewing, designing, implementing, and maintaining security toolsets within a complex enterprise framework.
- Proven track record in supporting IT transformation efforts, particularly in migrating legacy infrastructure to contemporary cloud environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of strategic IT and security solutions applicable to large organizations.
- Strong grasp of identity access management solutions, network security elements, and technical security best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of core technical security components, including WAF, CASB, identity protocols (SAML/OpenID/OAUTH), anti-malware solutions, and SIEM.
- Proficient understanding of the Microsoft security portfolio, particularly regarding MS Azure and Microsoft 365 offerings.
- Skilled in adapting security controls for hybrid environments, balancing on-premise solutions with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
- Ability to articulate and justify suitable security controls for business solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Competent in producing comprehensive written designs and reviewing supplier-generated designs.
