Key Responsibilities- Open and close the site, conducting daily inspections to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Develop and implement shift patterns, ensuring optimal production capacity and capability.
- Plan and communicate work plans effectively to your team, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
- Monitor and measure performance, ensuring cost and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Ensure compliance with company regulations, including working hours, health and safety, and site permitting.
- Manage and flex labor resources as needed, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.
- Maintain high standards of warehouse discipline and cleanliness, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Performance manage staff, providing motivational leadership and handling disciplinary matters as needed.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, safe systems of work, and other health and safety requirements.
- Assist with general maintenance of the site and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Manage the offloading and loading of vehicles according to the traffic management plan.
- Prepare the site for the receipt of existing, new, and projected volumes of material, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process.
- Ensure permit requirements are met, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a strong leader with good interpersonal and people management skills. You will have experience managing a team, ideally within the waste recycling industry. You will also have good problem-solving abilities and adaptability, with the ability to make decisions regarding safety and operational issues.
You will be self-motivated with team motivational skills, proactive with minimal supervision needed. A WAMITAB COTC Level 4 in hazardous waste treatment/transfer is an advantage but not essential.
