About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Harrods, one of the world's leading luxury department stores. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class bar experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the bar team to deliver on the combined Harrods goals, as agreed with the Head Bartender and Bar Manager.
  • Participate in the drinks and menu development process, including ideation, planning, development, execution, and feedback.
  • Work with the Head Bartender and Bar Supervisor to drive bar sales and service excellence.
  • Provide menu introductions to guests and make recommendations based on customer preferences, creating bespoke drinks as needed.
  • Maintain an immaculate appearance by adhering to the bar's dress code, uniform policy, and hygiene standards.
  • Learn and retain knowledge of cocktail menus, including drink contents, glassware, type of ice, and garnish, as well as outlets, wine, beverage, and food menus.
  • Attend all trainings for the team on drinks and beverage knowledge to support self and team development.
About You

You will have a great understanding of the level of service expected in a fine dining environment. You are reliable, work well in a team, and are a good listener and supporter. You are an excellent communicator and can motivate your colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the operation, maintaining company standards at all times.

You will also have:

  • Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.
  • The ability to work fast, set timelines, hygienically, while keeping tidy and organized.
  • The ability to look after multiple guests, interact, and remain engaged while preparing drinks in parallel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task.
  • Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
