Do you hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and maintain membership with IOSH / CMIOSH?

MacGregor Black is collaborating with a manufacturing organization in search of a Safety and Compliance Manager. This role is permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the HSE function and elevate each site to a world-class standard.
  • Manage environmental processes, conduct site inspections, perform risk assessments, provide training, and engage with the workforce regularly.
  • Oversee corporate HSE initiatives, including process safety; manage the contractor safety program; supervise the permit to work process; and track accident/incident statistics.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE legal and corporate standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits while maintaining ISO certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO).

What are we looking for?

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in a technical industry, ideally within engineering, chemical, pharmaceutical, or food sectors.
  • Familiarity with European and UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement practical and indirect cultural changes in a continuous improvement setting.
  • Membership in a professional body with relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH, CMIOSH preferred).
  • A degree in a scientific or engineering discipline is desirable.
  • Capability to develop action plans and support large-scale programs.
