Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 a year
A leading multi-service provider with a significant national and international presence is seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Manager to join their team. The company is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of its customers and is known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence.
The Group Finance Manager will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting in line with deadlines. A key part of this role will be delivering improvements within the finance team with a focus on GP.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare timely financial information for the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop reporting processes, controls, and systems.
- Review month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
- Provide meaningful and accurate variance analysis monthly.
- Support operational finance needs across the business.
- Manage day-to-day operational relationships within the team, including direct line management of three accountants.
- Lead and deliver R2R process improvement projects.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Assist with external audit queries and year-end processes.
- UK Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar), Big 4 accounting experience is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in the UK managing and delivering change or finance projects.
- Previous line management experience and staff development.
- Expertise in data manipulation and modelling using SQL, Excel, and other tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both the Board and non-financial individuals.
- Self-starter with problem-solving initiative.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-based approach.
