About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our Quality team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of governance and assurance needs across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the governance framework and management system across the business unit.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of a communication methodology for governance briefings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with auditees and senior leaders to influence decision-making and drive audit outcomes.
  • Conduct audits in accordance with the business unit audit plan to provide assurance on the delivery of strategic objectives.
  • Provide advice on contractor Quality Plans and review quality performance data to assess the performance of assigned assurance processes.
  • Produce reviews, lessons learned, and reports from emerging data, audits, and investigation findings.
  • Carry out routine analysis of key information to identify issues requiring immediate attention and determine the efficiency of resolution deficiencies.
Requirements
  • Experience of operating in a complex construction project environment across multi-disciplinary areas.
  • Practitioner of the Chartered Quality Institute, Certified IRCA Auditor, or relevant professional body recognition.
  • Good knowledge of Quality management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Desirable
  • Good knowledge of GRIP.
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain management.
  • An appreciation of the structure of the railway industry and its basic operations.
