Job Summary:
Leonard Cheshire is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Team Leader to join our team in a supported living service providing 24-hour care and support to a customer with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective supervision of a team of Support Workers, promoting positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Ensure our customers receive the very best care, personal support, and assistance with daily life tasks, supporting our Person-Centred approach.
- Work collaboratively with the customer, their family, and other healthcare professionals to achieve individual aspirations and maximize independence.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of the customer, ensuring a high-quality service that promotes dignity and respect.
- Contribute to the development of the team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that all staff are equipped to provide excellent care.
- Participate in on-call rota and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, with a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, families, and colleagues.
- Experience in supervising a team and managing complex care situations.
- Ability to work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families, adapting to changing needs and circumstances.
- Experience working within a care setting, with a strong understanding of Person-Centred care principles.
