Highland Health and Social Care Services provide essential support to individuals from all walks of life, as well as their families or caregivers. Our services cater to various needs arising from illness, disability, old age, or poverty.
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our East Caithness Health and Social Care Integrated Team in Wick. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients in their own homes to deliver holistic care.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to service users, helping them to maintain and maximize their independence. The post holders must be flexible and able to work independently, providing high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to the local community.
While experience is not required, full training and induction will be provided. Opportunities to complete your SVQ in Health & Social Care, as well as potential career progression, are available.
A driving license is essential for this post, and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes. A pool vehicle is available for rural areas.
The role involves working a variety of shifts, including 7am-11am, 9am-1pm, 7am-2pm, and 5pm-10pm, or as per service requirements.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
