About the Role

NHS Scotland is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the people of Scotland. As a Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and receive holistic care.

The East Caithness Health and Social Care Team is a multidisciplinary team that works together to provide comprehensive care to patients. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living tasks, providing emotional support, and helping them to access community resources.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 13.9 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes 4 days on and 4 days off. A driving license is essential for this role, and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Help patients access community resources, such as healthcare services and social activities
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required

Requirements

  • Driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends
