Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will deliver strong leadership throughout the LFC operations to guarantee safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery to our customers. Your primary focus will be on implementing and embedding both site-specific and centrally-driven continuous improvement initiatives, while also achieving site KPI performance to meet budgetary targets and optimize service costs. You will lead and develop your team through ongoing coaching and constructive feedback, ensuring effective management to achieve excellent results. Additionally, you will oversee resource allocation for delivery vans, manage stock inventory and maintenance, and adapt operational resources to meet customer demands and volume fluctuations. Identifying and nurturing talent within your team to build a succession pipeline will be essential, as will creating a customer-centric culture by engaging and inspiring your colleagues. With a keen eye for detail, you will ensure compliance with legal and safety standards, recruit and manage resources to fulfill headcount needs, and actively contribute to business transformation initiatives.

As a seasoned leader, you will possess a proven history of effectively managing a large and diverse team within a unionized setting. Your strong communication and decision-making abilities will enable you to respond swiftly to customer demands and fluctuations, ensuring the efficient delivery of exceptional service. You will have a solid understanding of warehouse and retail operations, multi-drop delivery, and customer final mile delivery, equipping you to make informed decisions that support the achievement of desired customer outcomes. With your motivational leadership style, you will know how to engage and inspire colleagues at all levels, fostering a team environment where everyone understands the impact of their actions on service and business results.
