About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Technician to join our team at Liberty Steel Group. As a key member of our Mobile Plant Maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a maintenance and repair service for a wide range of mobile plant and equipment at our sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair mobile plant and equipment, including site vans, HGV vehicles, and trailers
  • Perform MOT preparation, annual servicing, and breakdown fault finding and repairs
  • Work unsupervised and deliver a first-class customer service in accordance with departmental goals
  • Apply recognised safety practices and use appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Apprentice, BTEC NVQ Level 3 trained or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience in maintaining vehicles, with knowledge of HGV Regulations
  • Strong fault-finding skills, excellent attention to detail, and good communication skills
  • A current driving license is essential

Working Arrangements

The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 7:30-3:30, with alternative weekend working 6:00 am -2:00 pm, with a midweek day off.
