Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior OLE Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior OLE Engineer to join our team at Coyle Personnel. As a Senior OLE Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of OLE works on our rail network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Assurance and Documentation:** Manage the assurance and handback documentation in preparation for planned works, ensuring all paperwork is in place in advance of the work and completed and correlated after the shift/weekend.
  • **Design Review:** Review issued Form A, B, and C designs with the Construction Manager and CRE to understand the scope of planned works and record/make comments on any issues that need clarity/further information.
  • **Technical Queries:** Prepare technical queries with assistance from the OLE Tech/Construction Manager and CRE for submission to the Design CRE/PE for identified issues that need to be raised with design reviews.
  • **Design Meetings:** Attend various design meetings, including project start-ups, IDCs, IDRs, DCIs, and Risk workshops.
  • **Material Management:** Order materials and manage the assurance of material upon delivery.
  • **Team Collaboration:** Demonstrate motivation to lead the OLE Tech through learning across multi-functions/equipment types to gain experience to support projects.
  • **Safety and Compliance:** Aid the OLE Technical Engineer/Supervisor and/or Construction Manager on-site in ensuring OLE works are undertaken in-line with relevant standards and all parameters/tolerances are achieved.
  • **Continuous Improvement:** Contribute to the team and support across projects to gain and develop experience, and help improve the overall team through continuous improvement ideas relating to assurance, tools, equipment, efficiencies, and processes.
Person Specification:
  • **Experience:** Proven experience working as an OLE Engineer on Series 1, Series 2, Mk1, Mk 3B, UK1 (Master Series) OLE equipment types, with a minimum of 4 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • **Leadership:** Ability to lead and assist by directing OLEC3 Linesmen in carrying out installation and registration work on site, giving guidance on technical parameters during the works.
  • **Technical Knowledge:** Familiarity with relevant construction standards to give accurate technical advice during construction, and the use of EviFile for OLE Quality Assurance.
  • **Soft Skills:** Enthusiastic, able to work independently and in a team, with a keen eye for detail and documenting construction activities for progressive assurance of OLE works.
  • **Availability:** Willingness to work weekends and available to work over Bank Holidays as required.
