Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake non-imaging and imaging patient investigations, including radioactive dose administration and handling of radioactive sources.
  • Order and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, perform quality assurance, and store radioactive waste.
  • Contribute to the development of new protocols and procedures, and participate in audits and record-keeping.

Person Specification

  • 3 years' post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine, with knowledge of gamma camera protocols and computer/keyboard skills.
  • Ability to give IV injections and carry out venipuncture.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine processing protocols and gamma camera quality control.

Desirable Criteria

  • PET CT experience.
  • Ability to contribute to development projects and prioritize work in a busy environment.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • BSc Radiography or DCR or equivalent qualification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • IV cannulations.
