Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert health and safety advice to project teams and management to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a culture of safety and well-being across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety, such as IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or SMSTS.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a health and safety role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
