Job Title: Health and Safety Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Hunter Selection Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our health and safety function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Site Manager to develop and maintain the health and safety function
  • Maintain and develop all health and safety-related activities
  • Train employees on health and safety procedures and new protocols
  • Ensure employees are aware of the benefits of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to correct usage
  • Participate in investigations of site accidents and incidents, identifying preventative measures
  • Conduct health and safety inductions for new employees
  • Ensure all relevant risk and COSHH assessments are up to date and issued
  • Provide support and training on regular toolbox talks on safety awareness
  • Select and maintain the First Aid and First Marshall teams
  • Conduct health and safety inspections, audits, and reporting
  • Work closely with production teams to develop and identify new procedures

Requirements:

  • Production and manufacturing industry experience
  • ISOH qualified as a minimum
  • NEBOSH qualified desirable, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suites
  • Able to work effectively and take initiative
  • Effective organisational skills and self-motivated
  • Able to write reports and new procedures
  • Experienced in health and safety internal auditing
