We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate to join our team at Advance. As a Senior Advocate, you will work closely with women who have experienced domestic abuse and are facing multiple challenges, including substance misuse, mental health issues, and complex support needs.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide holistic support and advocacy to these women, helping them to navigate the complexities of their situations and access the services they need to achieve sustained recovery and improved health and wellbeing.
You will work in close partnership with other agencies and services, including the police, social services, and healthcare providers, to ensure that women receive a coordinated and comprehensive response to their needs.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about supporting women with complex needs and has a deep understanding of the issues they face. Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic support and advocacy to women with multiple needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues, and complex support needs.
- Work in close partnership with other agencies and services to ensure that women receive a coordinated and comprehensive response to their needs.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans that meet the unique needs of each woman.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to women who are experiencing domestic abuse.
- Work with women to identify and access services that meet their needs, including healthcare, education, and employment services.
- Provide training and support to other professionals to help them better understand the issues faced by women with multiple needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children.
- Experience of working with women with multiple needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues, and complex support needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with women, other professionals, and agencies.
- A deep understanding of the issues faced by women with multiple needs and the ability to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Experience of working in a crisis intervention and support role, with the ability to provide emergency support and advocacy to women who are experiencing domestic abuse.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
