About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Tutor to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering occupational English education and PLAB success to overseas qualified refugee and asylum seeker doctors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support refugee and asylum seeker doctors through PLAB exams, GMC registration, and into NHS clinical jobs
  • Close supervision of doctors on placement and creation of individualized educational plans
  • Tutoring and supervision of REACHE members in remote and face-to-face settings
  • Development and delivery of clinical and professional skills teaching and 'return to work' courses for refugee doctors
Requirements
  • GMC registration and license to practice
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in working in a hospital setting, supervising medical students or clinical staff, and teaching in a healthcare setting
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of teaching refugees and asylum seekers
  • Experience of teaching adults
  • Experience of working with students/international doctors whose first language is not English
