About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Distribution Operations Manager to join our team at Scantec Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of our products to customers across various market channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an annual plan to ensure the operational elements of our business enable the sales and marketing team to maximize sales opportunities.
  • E-commerce Focus: Deliver exceptional results for our e-commerce retail business unit, ensuring day-to-day operational matters are addressed from start to finish, particularly during peak periods.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain the highest standards of excellence in safety, quality, and hygiene to ensure customer orders are delivered to specification and received on time, complying with BRCGS and export regulations.
  • Branded eCommerce: Provide particular attention to detail for high-value consumer orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers, including logistics partners, to ensure contractual and service requirements are met, supported by director-led corporate negotiation.
  • Courier Management: Intensely manage courier shipping providers to deliver significant performance metrics.
  • Stock Management: Accountable for effective stock management, receiving goods from our own manufacturing facilities, ensuring food traceability is maintained, and managing stock on a FIFO basis.
  • Team Management: Manage the whole connectivity of the operational facility, sourcing, training, and supervising colleagues to ensure the team is motivated and performing at its best.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide visibility of accurate management information and KPIs to galvanize the team, driving attention to detail and communicating the right information to different audiences.
About You

We are looking for a Distribution Operations Manager with experience working in a complex, fast-paced, FMCG food manufacturing warehouse facility. You will be a highly experienced operations manager with a focus on effectively coaching your team to do their best work, injecting pace and dynamism into the facility, and a straightforward communicator with a proven track record in setting and achieving KPIs.
