Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Learning: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students as needed.
- Individual Support: Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and address specific needs.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, managing behavior and ensuring that students stay on task.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing classroom resources and materials.
- Feedback: Provide feedback to teachers on student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Record Keeping: Support in maintaining accurate records of students' progress and any relevant issues.
- Inclusive Education: Support the inclusion of students with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring they have access to a full educational experience.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
- Professional Development: Engage in professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with educational best practices.
- Recent Classroom Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is essential.
- Enhanced DBS Check: Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
- Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
