Job Description

Swindale Parks Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Conference and Events Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational effectiveness of events and conferences by focusing on the setup of rooms and event spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Setup and Coordination: Prepare event spaces across our venue portfolio ahead of events and bookings, including setting up tables, chairs, and ensuring event equipment and refreshments are available.
  • Changeover and Delivery: Oversee and deliver the changeover of events spaces and set-ups based on plans provided by the Events and Programmes team.
  • Event Management: Work alongside appointed service providers and contractors to duty manage live events, including serving food and drink and clearing away.
  • Quality Control: Conduct walk-around checks to ensure the quality of the visitor experience across the site, including cleanliness of event spaces, equipment availability, crockery and cutlery provision, and that WiFi, signage, and building features are in working order.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in events or hospitality.
  • Ability to work evenings and some weekends.
What We Offer:
  • A basic salary up to £24,000.
  • Excellent benefits, including pension, private medical, 4 x life assurance, critical illness cover, and 27 days holidays (plus 8 statutory).
