Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled property/business agent to join our Childcare & Education Team, following an internal promotion. This role involves sourcing and transacting childcare and education businesses across the Yorkshire region and the North East. You will be responsible for generating leads, processing instructions, and managing deals through to completion. Engaging with clients, you will serve as the primary contact in any transaction and interact with buyers and applicants throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with buyers primarily via telephone and document their requirements using our Salesforce-based CRM system.
  • Maintain and update applicant requirements.
  • Prepare, distribute, and monitor marketing materials, including mail and email campaigns.
  • List, market, and oversee sales opportunities, including organizing viewings and processing offers.
  • Coordinate and follow up on viewings, ensuring thorough buyer due diligence.
  • Negotiate and finalize deals, managing legal processes and the overall sale.
  • Provide regular updates to clients regarding instruction activities.
  • Enhance personal and company visibility by collaborating with the marketing team to produce high-quality promotional materials.
  • Develop and implement a personal business generation strategy within a designated territory to attract new sale inquiries.
  • Present company credentials, offer pricing guidance, and secure sale mandates.
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams on corporate initiatives.
  • Network extensively within the territory.
  • Elevate our reputation and profile at local, regional, and national levels.

Working Relationships

This position reports directly to the Head of Brokerage for Childcare & Education and ultimately to the Managing Director of the department. You will work closely with regional fee earners, finance and insurance brokers, support staff, and a broader central support team, including IT and Marketing personnel. Building relationships with business stakeholders within your territory will also be encouraged.

Candidate Profile

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in commercial or residential estate agency is essential.
  • Experience in commercial brokerage is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individuals are essential.
  • A relevant Real Estate degree is desirable.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C or above are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • A valid UK Driver's license and confidence in driving long distances are essential.
