Our custody suites operate around the clock, and we are committed to maintaining the safety of detainees, adhering to a schedule established with our partners.

  • Competitive salary of £40,000 annually
  • £1000 bonus upon completion of one year of service
  • Full-time position with fixed shifts: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and 18:45 to 07:00 for night shifts, following a 4 on, 4 off team rota pattern. A rolling rota is available for two years ahead.
  • Estimated average overtime of £3500 per year
  • NMC/HCPC registration fees covered
  • No prior forensic experience necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.

This role requires adaptability to work not only in your designated custody suite but also across an assigned region within the police custody facilities.

Vetting Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Valid driving license
  • Must have been a UK resident for at least three years, with no gaps of more than three months outside the country
  • All candidates will undergo police vetting

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • RN, RGN, or RMN with dual registration: Minimum of two years post-qualification experience at Band 5
  • Paramedic with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience
  • At least two years of post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within relevant fields such as General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service
