Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled nurse to become a vital member of our clinical trials unit team.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, first-level registered nurse with substantial experience in patient care, particularly within oncology or research environments.

This role involves collaborating with a team to support the recruitment and care of oncology patients participating in clinical trials.

Candidates must exhibit exceptional communication and organizational abilities. Key responsibilities include overseeing the identification of patients eligible for clinical trials, delivering patient information, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring precise data collection while complying with relevant regulations and national standards.

Additionally, this position requires the acquired skills to assist the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) team, which includes administering SACT therapies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team to coordinate a diverse portfolio of cancer clinical trials.
  • Provide comprehensive information to cancer patients regarding potential participation in specific research studies.
  • Assist in the management of clinical trials and research initiatives across various cancer types.
  • Offer administrative and data management support for all trial organization aspects as part of the clinical trials unit research network.
  • Engage and communicate with local, regional, and national organizations regarding research administration as necessary.
  • Administer Systemic Anticancer Treatment (SACT) as part of the role.

Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Knowledge
