Role Overview: Quest Employment is seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Flexible Forklift Operator on a temporary basis in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and readiness for immediate engagement when necessary. A basic to proficient level of English in speaking, reading, and writing is essential. As a Forklift Operator, your responsibilities will vary and may include tasks such as packing, sorting, picking, dispatching, labeling, boxing, and palletizing.

About the Client: Our client is a prominent international manufacturer and distributor specializing in breakfast cereals. They are expanding their operations in a newly constructed facility located in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. The site operates around the clock, offering shifts from 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00, with a focus on weekday work.

Salary Details:

  • Base rate: £12.00 per hour
  • Day shift allowance: £0.68 = £12.68 per hour
  • Night shift allowance: £2.48 = £14.48 per hour
  • Overtime (beyond 48 hours): £18.00 per hour
  • Shift allowances apply only to base hours

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Operating Forklift machinery
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers
  • Packing, inspecting, and labeling cereal products
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse and yard
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Meeting daily productivity targets

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Flexi/Bendi license (from RTITB or ITSSAR)
  • Ability to lift, bend, reach overhead, crouch, and stretch
  • Capable of pushing and pulling weights up to 15kg
  • Manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
  • Experience in a warehouse or production setting is preferred but not mandatory
  • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
