We are seeking a skilled and experienced clinician to work with expectant and new mothers with severe and complex mental health problems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload, including specialist assessment, care planning, and evaluation of individual treatment plans.
  • Participate in the setting of quality standards, auditing, monitoring, and reviewing practice in line with current clinical guidance and policy.
  • Administer medication, complying with relevant Trust procedures and NMC Guidance.
  • Assess patient's individual care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
  • Deliver a range of interventions, including pharmacological and psychologically informed interventions.
  • Complete and contribute to robust risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Maintain an effective reporting system, observing and reporting verbally and in writing on patient condition.
  • Utilize agreed outcome measures to review the effectiveness of interventions.

Requirements
  • Registered mental health Nurse or Occupational Therapist.
  • Post-registration experience, evidence of formal courses and training at diploma/degree level.
  • Leadership qualification, BSc degree in nursing/social work/occupational therapy or equivalent level, qualification in providing supervision, coaching, and non-medical prescribing.
  • Experience of working with adults experiencing mental health-related difficulties, women experiencing perinatal mental health needs, and complex mental health needs.
  • Experience of working in community settings, making decisions autonomously, and integrating care delivery across multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams.
  • Leadership skills, ability to motivate and influence others, team player, integrity, negotiation skills, good time management/organisation skills.
